How to prepare physical mail and faxes with Grok Bot

Give Grok Bot the finished PDF and the destination, then ask it to prepare a letter or fax on Postedly. Its cloud computer has a browser and file workspace. You review the final document, recipient and price before approving payment.

This guide follows Grok Bot’s documented browser and file capabilities. No Postedly workflow has been tested in Grok Bot. Grok chat separately supports custom MCP connectors; that Postedly connection is also untested.

Use Grok Bot with Postedly

  1. Give your Bot the file and one sending task

    Make the finished PDF available to Grok Bot and name the service and destination. Its cloud computer is separate from your local computer; a path on your laptop does not establish file access.

  2. Prepare the send on Postedly

    Ask the Bot to open the sending form, check live availability, upload the PDF and enter the destination and sender details. Use Agent Computer to watch the browser work or take over when needed.

  3. Review the final document yourself

    Inspect every page of the returned proof, including any cover or address page. Check the recipient and total, complete sender email verification, and approve the exact order before continuing to hosted Stripe Checkout. Take over for a payment or identity check when requested.

  4. Optional: use a custom connector in Grok chat

    For Grok chat, open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector → Custom, enter the endpoint below and complete authentication. This is separate from Grok Bot’s Marketplace plugins. Postedly’s connection and file transfer in this client still require testing.

Fax the PDF from your task

Confirm the receiving US fax number and provide your sender details and US billing address.

Transfer your file

Ask the Bot to upload the exact saved PDF from a location it can read, such as its shared /workspace. A filename, local path or conversation about the document is not an upload. If file access or browser upload fails, download the finished PDF and upload it directly on Postedly. When using an authenticated MCP connection, the private browser upload handoff is another fallback; keep that link private and return to the assistant to check completion.

  • For a letter or fax, prepare a valid, unencrypted PDF no larger than 10 MiB (10,485,760 bytes). Review the saved PDF after exporting it from the draft.
  • For mail, have the recipient’s full US postal address and your US sender address ready. For fax, confirm the receiving US fax number and your US billing address. Check the selected service’s page and layout limits before quoting.
  • Review the final proof returned with the quote, including any added cover or postal layout. An upload preview alone does not establish that the final document is ready to send.

When a step does not work

The Bot cannot find or upload the PDF
Confirm which computer holds the file and the exact filename. Make the approved PDF available in the Bot’s task or finish the upload directly on Postedly. Do not make the document public to work around file access.
The browser needs a human step or the task was interrupted
Open Agent Computer and take over for the requested verification or payment step. After an interruption, check the existing Postedly order and payment status before asking the Bot to prepare another send.

Your approval comes before the send

Giving a Bot a task or website access does not approve a purchase. Review the final Postedly proof, recipient, service and total, then authorize that exact order and its payment. Hosted Stripe Checkout follows Postedly’s review step. A native Grok payment integration and a completed Grok checkout are not claimed.

Keep the Postedly order reference after checkout. Ask the Bot to open that existing order when it has access, or use Postedly’s order tracking and verify the same sender email to recover access. Read payment and fulfillment separately. An interrupted task, a quote or a checkout link alone does not establish that the document was sent.

Enter the destination and sender details, then review the final proof and full price before payment. You do not need your own printer or envelopes to mail a PDF through Postedly.

  • This is an independent documented workflow, not a tested Postedly integration, Grok endorsement or marketplace listing. Bot plugins and Grok chat custom connectors have separate setup paths.
  • Grok Bot’s files and signed-in browser sessions are shared across the Bots on your account. Provide only the document and account access needed for the task.
  • Current service availability and file requirements apply. If the Bot cannot show the final proof or complete a required step with you, finish directly on Postedly.
