Account, review, and payment
The website uses a private sending session and verifies your sender email before checkout. Assistant connections use OAuth; files, quotes, and orders belong to the connected owner. An assistant should reuse its existing connection and can omit sender.email when quoting to use that account’s verified email. Verification codes stay out of chat.
The standard assistant workflow opens a private Postedly review page and then Stripe Checkout. The sender confirms the exact document or item, recipient, and total before payment. Connecting an assistant is not blanket sending approval.
Payment and fulfillment remain separate. Fax authorizes payment before transmission and captures after success. Other supported services proceed after confirmed payment. Always check the actual order state.
Assistant compatibility and evidence
As of September 20, 2026: Muse was tested through PDF transfer, an unpaid fax quote, and final-proof review. Claude web was tested through PDF transfer, an unpaid fax quote, and a private review link. Codex transferred an actual PDF through MCP, received an unpaid $4.99 fax quote, and verified the final PDF hash and two-page count. Its private review remained unapproved; a separate $11.99 handwritten-card quote and review also passed. Both Codex quotes reused the verified sender email without asking for it again. Visual proof review was not performed in Codex. ChatGPT was tested through connection and service lookup. None of these tests completed approval, payment, or fulfillment, and Cowork has not been tested separately.
Other guides distinguish documented or experimental setup from tested stages. Client features, permissions, and file access determine which steps can happen inside an assistant. Use the website fallback when a client cannot transfer the file or complete a required review step.
What tracking can establish
A quote does not establish payment. Payment does not establish delivery. The order exposes separate payment and fulfillment states, a timeline, and available provider evidence.
Ordinary mail progress can be estimated. The current PostGrid adapter records provider completion as sent with estimated delivery. Fax delivery records a successful transmission, not human reading. Certified mail extra services must be confirmed in the supported product rather than inferred.
