How a check is set up and sent
Connect your checking account.
On Postedly’s secure US bank page, connect and verify your own checking account through Plaid. Postedly never receives your online banking password.
Finish the one-time setup.
Set up a bank passkey, confirm you have authority to sign on the account, save your signature, and choose the check numbers to use.
Prepare the check.
Enter the payee, their US mailing address, the amount, and an optional memo, or let a connected assistant prepare the draft for you.
Review, sign, and pay.
Review the full check proof, confirm your passkey, sign that exact check, and pay the service fee in your browser. Nothing prints until payment succeeds.
Follow its progress.
The order shows the check’s printing and mailing status alongside your payment.
What the service fee covers
As of October 29, 2026, Postedly charges a service fee of $6.99 per check, before applicable tax, to print and mail it. The exact fee and tax are shown before you pay.
The check amount is not charged by Postedly. Postedly does not collect or hold it: the money stays in your account until the payee deposits the check.
What your assistant can and cannot do
A connected assistant can read masked references to your checking accounts and prepare a check draft with the payee, US address, amount, and memo. It then gives you a private review link.
The assistant never sees or handles account or routing numbers, bank passwords, passkeys, or your signature, and it cannot sign or pay for a check. Only the account owner does that, in their own browser.
Bank security and signing authority
Use only a US checking account you own and are authorized to sign on. Plaid verifies the account, and each check needs your passkey confirmation before you sign it. Connecting an account does not by itself authorize a check.
Choose check numbers you have not used elsewhere and keep your own payment records. You remain responsible for having funds available when the payee deposits the check.
US payees only
Each check goes to one payee, a person or an organization, at a US mailing address. International payees are not supported.
Printing and mailing, not clearing
Postedly tracks the check’s printing and mailing status. It cannot see when the payee deposits the check or when it clears; your bank account shows that.
A mailed status does not confirm that the payee received or deposited the check.
Cancelling a check
A cancellation request can stop printing only if the provider confirms it before production. Cancelling printing is not a bank stop-payment. For a check that has already printed, mailed, or gone missing, contact your bank about a stop-payment.
