Read the milestones separately
| Milestone or state | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Quote prepared | A price and prepared document or item for the chosen recipient. Nothing has been sent or charged by quoting. |
| Payment pending | Payment has not yet been confirmed. Returning from checkout alone is not proof of payment. |
| Payment authorized | A payment hold is confirmed. Fax uses authorization before transmission and captures payment after successful transmission. |
| Payment paid | The payment was captured. It does not establish that fulfillment or delivery is complete. |
| Queued / processing | The order is waiting for, or undergoing, fulfillment. Check the current timeline and provider evidence. |
| Sent | The provider has reported the item dispatched or processed for delivery. Ordinary mail arrival may still be estimated. |
| Delivered | Interpret the accompanying evidence for that service. Fax delivery confirms transmission, not that a person read the document. |
| Failed / needs attention | Read the failure and payment state. Resolve the existing order before preparing a new send. |
Check the order you already have
Open order tracking.
Use your saved order reference or ask the connected assistant to retrieve that order. Verify the same sender email when the website asks you to recover access.
Read payment and fulfillment.
Look at both states, the timestamped timeline, and the sending record. A payment receipt or a successful checkout redirect is not a delivery record.
Resolve uncertainty before retrying.
If an update is missing or a provider result is unclear, check again or contact support with the existing order ID. Repeating “send” can create a second order.
Check the existing Postedly order using the order reference I provide. Tell me its payment status, fulfillment status, latest timeline update, and available sending evidence. Do not create a new order or retry sending.
Postal progress and fax evidence are different
Postal updates can show that an item was sent without confirming that the recipient received it. Check whether the sending record supplies an estimate, a tracking event, or confirmed delivery evidence. An estimated arrival is not confirmed receipt.
A delivered fax indicates successful transmission to the destination fax system. It does not establish that the intended person read the document or accepted its contents.
Cancellation depends on the current order
The order page offers cancellation only when the current workflow says it may be possible. A request still has to be checked with the provider. Payment and refund updates have their own status, so retain the order reference until the outcome is clear.
