Use the transfer route your assistant supports
Direct upload when file access is available.
An assistant can transfer file bytes through Postedly’s upload tool. Clients with authenticated HTTP access can upload the file directly using the same connected account.
Private handoff when direct upload is unavailable.
The assistant can prepare a single-use upload handoff. Depending on its tools, it can transfer through that endpoint itself or give you the private browser upload link.
Website upload when you want to finish yourself.
Download the finished PDF and upload it on the sending page. Re-enter the recipient and review the resulting proof and quote there.
Fix the file rather than repeating the same upload
- Password-protected or malformed PDF: export a new, unencrypted PDF.
- File exceeds 10 MiB: export a smaller PDF while keeping text readable.
- Page or artwork-size error: use the requirements for the selected service; an accepted upload is not yet an accepted mailing.
- Checksum mismatch: transfer the exact original bytes again. Do not substitute extracted text or a screenshot.
- Expired upload link or document: request a new handoff or upload the file again. Documents and quotes belong to the connected account that created them.
Know when the transfer is complete
A successful upload returns a Postedly document identifier, byte count, page count, and SHA-256 checksum. It does not create a payment or send an item. The next step is to prepare the quote and review its final proof.
