What you need

  • An unencrypted PDF of up to five document pages and at most 10 MiB. Postedly adds a cover page for you to review.
  • A supported United States recipient fax number in +1 format. US recipients with supported toll-free numbers are included; premium destinations are excluded.
  • Your sender name, email, and United States billing address. A fax number by itself does not establish the recipient’s identity.

Prepare the fax

  1. Make the final PDF available.

    Use your assistant’s connection guide and give it access to the actual file. If file access fails, use the private upload handoff or the Postedly website.

  2. Request a quote for the exact number.

    Ask the assistant to check Fax availability and prepare the quote with your sender information and the recipient’s number.

  3. Review the complete fax.

    Check the PDF returned with the quote, including its generated cover page. Confirm the number, document, page count, total, and sending approval before payment.

  4. Keep the order reference.

    After checkout, read the payment state and transmission result on the existing order. Do not create a duplicate while the first result is still pending.

A successful fax means transmission succeeded

The fax quote describes transmission as usually completing within minutes, followed by a report. This is an estimate. A delivered fax result is evidence of transmission to the receiving fax system; it does not prove that a person read, accepted, or acted on the document.

If the result is pending or unclear, check the existing order. If it failed, review the failure information and contact support before preparing another attempt.
